Linen pyjamas can improve your nap time even more!

Below, there‘s some information on how napping can help you:

6 minute nap:  recent German study showed that 6 minutes are enough to activate memory performance (short-term memories are removed and so there‘s more space for thinking).

20 minute nap:  will slow your heart rhym, and you will be more attentive and in better mood.

40 minute nap: is good if you did not sleep last night; During  40 minute nap your brain will perform important memory release functions

90 minute nap: if you have the luxury of time, 90 minute nap will let you experience a full cycle of sleep, which allows your body to restore energy.

Some tips for great naps:

* prime nap time is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

* use a face mask to provide daytime darkness

* assure that you will not be disturbed

* some people claim that drinking coffee and then taking an immediate nap works well. The caffeine kicks in somewhere between 10 and 20 minutes, waking them up with extra energy.

Lithuanian designers say that this year there are a few silhouettes of linen clothes that are popular. The first one is 80′s style: emphasised waist and straight lines, including bell-bottom pants, wide skirts and shirts with shoulder widening effect. Another popular silhouette is a straight one, including straight pants and dresses.

The length of linen dresses, skirts and pants can vary from knee-high to very long. The most popular colours this season are white and the natural linen colour, which is a lot like the colour of sand. White linen colour has already become a summer classic. If you don’t like these neutral colours, you can choose blue, green, yellow or red linen clothes – all of these are more or less fashionable this year.

The linen fabric can be woven in various patterns. Vertical or horizontal, narrow or wide, curves or straight lines meet circles, dots and various floral motives – it doesn’t really matter this year, as linen looks wonderful in any pattern.

Bright coloured clothes could be matched with vivid, contrasting details and accessories. Sand and grey coloured clothes can be jazzed up with brightly coloured straps or flowers and a colourful purse or wrap.

However, you should always leave space for imagination – sometimes the best fashion creations are born at home.

Let‘s not forget that child‘s personality and values are formed in early childhood. Therefore, to help children to develop their sense of style and taste, we should pay attention not only to what books they read, games they play, music they listen to, people they interact with, but also to what they wear.

You might think that it‘s rather snob to dress children in designer clothes and buy expensive high quality clothes because they outgrow them so fast, but the correct choice of clothes can influence your child‘s behaviour and mood. It‘s better to have one piece of stylish clothing that can be worn for different occasions or every day activities. Your child would then feel stylish every day and it‘s a fact that stylish clothes affect your child’s behaviour and mood. The most important thing when choosing an outfit for a child is, of course, its quality. All mothers know that we have to wash clothes very often, so it‘s important to be sure that clothes are long-lasting, and will not loose its shape after being washed.

Most often children wear is classic, but each season it is highlighted with many different colors and ornaments. Clothes should be decorated with big applications like flowers, leaves and all what‘s natural, borrowed from the nature. The main focus remains on natural and eco-friendly materials, and highlighting your child‘s personality, which will also help to create an intelligent approach to the environment and other people.

Basically, fashion trends may change every year, but they stay more or less stable in the world of children fashion, because the main idea for children clothes is that they should be comfortable, easily washable and dear to children, as they are the ones who wear them. We at LinenKids offer clothes that have all these qualities. Moreover, our clothes are of more classic style, so they are always fashionable. Most importantly, the kids seem to love them!

But there are some toys which are both eco-friendly and developing. A great example of such toys is the ones that are called the Waldorf toys. There are all kinds of Waldorf toys, but all of them have the same qualities: they are made from natural, child-friendly materials, they are beautiful, inspiring, pleasant to hold in one’s hands and, most importantly, they develop children’s creativity and imagination. They usually have little detail, leaving a lot of room for imagination. In a Waldorf school, things such as stones or seashells can become toys.

Traditional Lithuanian bathhouse

Most of Lithuanians visit a sauna (“pirtis” in Lithuanian) at least once every year. It’s very popular in summertime, when you can heat yourself up (Lithuanian saunas are known to be VERY hot!) in the sauna and jump into a lake to cool down. There’s nothing better than wrapping yourself into a soft linen towel afterwards. Not only does it help to keep your body warm, it also absorbs the water very well. Did I mention that it’s really soft?
