Most of Lithuanians visit a sauna (“pirtis” in Lithuanian) at least once every year. It’s very popular in summertime, when you can heat yourself up (Lithuanian saunas are known to be VERY hot!) in the sauna and jump into a lake to cool down. There’s nothing better than wrapping yourself into a soft linen towel afterwards. Not only does it help to keep your body warm, it also absorbs the water very well. Did I mention that it’s really soft? 🙂
